Autobiographies are greatly educative. If they are of statesmen ( not mere political leaders for fleeting times, but those who have long term interests of the nation and people at heart). Justices of High Courts and Supreme Court , great journalists, and business men/industrialists, we would come to know why one took certain actions and the background to them . Great people are truthful. They don't only mention their good achievements but they also write about their shortcomings and wrong doings . Autobiographies throw light on the thought processes of the authors and these would be very educative for us. Js. Dr.B.P.Beri's 146-page autobiography is eminently readable, informative and instructive. We marvel at the integrity erudition, and character of the person and his intellectual acevity in arguing cases to get justice , in judgments to deliver justice and to get at truth while conducting inquiries . Js.Dr. Beri showed all these qualities in abundance..I would cite a few of the many incidents that he wrote about in the book.

Dr T.H.Chowdary
This is an excellent narrative by one of (DOT) the principal actors in the growth and transformation of a government department of telecoms into a successful public sector enterprise Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL). Sri Saxena was earlier in the C-DOT the great enterprise that was launched to wipe out the shame of India importing successive generations of switching technologies. The C-DOT was a mission . It successfully designed, developed and productionised digital switches by the efforts of inspired young Indian engineers. Sri Saxena was part of that great mission. It is altogether a different story that the C-DOT is not allowed to flourish and flower into the likes of the famed BELL-Labs of the United States.
